"Practice makes perfect."

Trying new techniques of photography each day is so fascinating. I have been trying my hand at still photography for a couple of years now, but I don't consider myself perfect yet. Which is the whole point, because, as someone who strives for perfection, I try it each day, so as to learn new skills, techniques and inch closer to becoming a perfect photographer.
Photographing is not just a hobby, instead it is my passion. Here are a few shots taken via Phone. Share it if you like it and feedbacks are always welcome.

Breaking Pointe'

Just because I talk so much about dance, isn’t the sole reason that inspired me to make a fashion collection inspired by dance. It was my deep involvement in the craft and the hours I put in as practise that made me realise the huge difference that it has made in my life.

It was this involvement that gave me an idea to fuse fashion with dance and create a collection of five distinct garments inspired by the two much recognized dance forms - Hip-Hop and Ballet.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you, "Breaking Pointe", a collection inspired by a thought to create an Elysium for a dancer wherein she can fuse the free spirit and moves of a hip hopper with the perfect techniques and the toned body of a ballerina.

Hip Hop has always been the voice of a generation demanding to be heard, whereas ballet has always been associated with grace and style, bringing the best of both styles together is the basis of my collection.

Dancer's Life

Dancing day in day out...

Being a dancer i feel its very important to be in that moment and enjoy the moment. By being in the moment I mean that while you are dancing you should only dance and not think about anything else. Which is why my blog has been on hold for about a month now, i have just been dancing like a maniac from 10 in the morning to 6 in the evening and then coming back home half dead. Hence, I haven't been able to update you guys.

Now that i'm back and we are talking about a dancer, let’s really talk about what it is like to live a dancer's life. Being a professional/passionate dancer isnt easy my friend.. each day i discover a new pain or a new bruise on my body.. looking at which i in a way feel really proud of myself as my instructors always tell us, "No Pain, No Gain" which is why i go back to the same studio, each day, to get more of those proud bruises.

Interestingly (some of you might think weirdly), I feel really good when my body is sore and i'm hardly able to move an inch yet i go to the studio to dance that pain out. Dance is blissful and the feeling of being a dancer is inexplicable. And since, my dance routine doesn’t leave me with anytime to shop or dress up (something that I really love doing and can do almost every day), I have come out with this way of flaunting my new clothes at my dance rehearsals.

Of course, you can’t wear a LBD and do hip-hop in it, which I am mindful of. But yes, I do wear interesting combinations to my dance classes or rehearsals which makes me feel good and makes me experiment with my looks everytime because like I keep saying - Dance and Fashion always go hand in hand.

Wear Dance

"Experimenting with the looks can make you dance well"

Having said that I believe, when you are looking good, you automatically tend to dance well. Experimenting with my looks according to different dance styles is what I do and for a fact it doubles up the fun.
Honestly, I start getting ready an hour and a half prior to my dance class and sometimes I change 10 times if not less before leaving because for me, my look and the way I dress up for my class is very important.
I often encounter people coming to the studio dressed up inappropriately, by that I don't mean anything vulgar, I mean when I see them I feel that they've come to the studio for a nap or something. Coming for a dance class in night pajamas isn't such a good idea.
I mean no offence to such people or anyone for that matter, it just kinda affects the dance environment and your dancing too. Wearin the right kind of a look to your class makes a huge difference.
So here are some few tips on how to dress up for a class...
